Ashei is an early blooming form of Magnolia macrophylla. The leaves might be a tiny bit smaller but they are still huge. The flowers also are huge. zone 5 possibly.

Advance is a gorgeous Vulcan cross shaped purpllish hybrid out of NZ. This seems lighter than the one on the Magnolia Store site, but this is what I have.

Witches Broom (Ginkgo biloba 'Witches Broom')
Pretty soon somebody will give this plant a better name. Basically it is just a dwarf Ginkgo with all of its attractions without the 60′. It will grow almost anywhere.

This variegated form has white striations rather than cream-colored. Slow grower, for sure

Weeping Wonder (Ginkgo bil. 'Weeping Wonder')
Bizarre is the best word for this tree; it does weep; in fact it must be staked to avoid becoming a ground cover, but the leaves are truly strange: a few are normal, but many are linear. One important fact is that the tree is a female. Therefore if there are males in the neighborhood, you will get fruit. If you clean it, you can roast the nuts; they are delicious.

A semi-dwarf with smallish leaves curled inward. Zone 4

Just like it sounds, this dwarf Ginkgo is short and awkward. Probably eventually it will be just a mound, but young, it is funny looking. Leaves normal, tho.

The leaves on Saratoga are distinctive as they are more incised, giving the tree a slightly lacier look.

Salem Lady (Ginkgo biloba 'Salem Lady' (female)
The original Salem Lady is a magnificent 60′ specimen in Salem which has a bountiful crop of nuts every year. Unfortunately, the fruit surrounding this nut, which is a delicacy in Asia, smells bad which is why all the other Ginkgos I sell are male and do not bear fruit. To get fruit from SL, you must have a male pollenizer. zone 4.
