This is probably the hardiest fig I grow. Some say it can stand zone 4, and that may be true with lots of hay on top and it will still freeze back to the roots, but as with all figs it will regrow and fruit on new wood. The fruit is purple and sweet.

These are the pumpkin shaped persimmons that you can eat firm. It is early December and mine are still hanging on the bare tree. I bring them in and let them sit for a day or two and they are delicious. I don’t think the tree is hardier than zone 6. It gets about 15 feet tall and has glossy green somewhat leathery leaves. One of my favorites.
